May 8, 2006 Shore Road Historic Preservation Award
The Somers Point Historic Preservation Commission presented the award to the Somers Point Historical Society, Atlantic County Library/Somers Point Branch, and the City of Somers Point.

March 18, 2006 Old City Hall turns 100 years old.
The Bike Challenge was sponsored by the SP Historical Society, Atlantic County Library/Somers Point Branch, and the Somers Point Police Dept in celebration of Old City Hall. The police station was located in the building until 1968, when the New Municipal Building was constructed.
