We received a $300 grant from the Atlantic County Cultural Heritage Center to complete the Chapman Scrapbook Project.
Mayor Jack Glasser presented the American flag flown at the cemetery of the Intrepeid crew in Libya.
Installation of plaques begins for the Bay Front Historic District.

Sept 17, 11:00AM - Old Timers Program: A Walk Down Shore Road in the 1940s and 50s. A luncheon will follow, compliments of the Society. Raffle drawing for the scrimshaw wine bottle opener. Donation $5.00.

May 8, 2006 Shore Road Historic Preservation Award
The Somers Point Historic Preservation Commission presented the award to the
Somers Point Historical Society, Atlantic County Library/Somers Point Branch,
and the City of Somers Point.
March 18, 2006 Old City Hall turns 100 years old.
The Bike Challenge was sponsored by the SP Historical Society, Atlantic County
Library/Somers Point Branch, and the Somers Point Police Dept in celebration
of Old City Hall. The police station was located in the building until 1968,
when the New Municipal Building was constructed.
